The college is the largest college of acupuncture in the UK and is located in a beautiful Grade 2 listed Georgian building in the centre of Reading. It trains practitioners in an integrated style. This style uses the strengths of Yin/Yang theory and Five Element constitutional diagnosis in one integrated whole.

The aim of the college is to produce the highest quality practitioners who can diagnose both the person and the complaint using the concepts of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Courses start in April and September.

The College offers a three-year programme in the art of traditional acupuncture. Taught mainly at weekends, there are intakes each March and September. The programme is fully accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board and leads to a B.A.(Hons) degree from Oxford Brookes University.

The South West College of Oriental Medicine is a not-for-profit organisation based in the heart of Bristol. We have been teaching Professional Diploma courses in Acupuncture since 1995.

Our teaching programmes take place regularly throughout the year and are held either on weekends or on Mondays and Tuesdays during term time.

The College is currently in a formal relationship with the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board. Graduates of the College are eligible to apply for an interview to join the British Acupuncture Council Register.

The College holds clinical intensives at the Hangzhao University of Traditional Chinese Medicine each year. We also have regular open days for prospective students to visit us.
